Our Office is Open and Accepting New Patients!

The Hudson Valley Audiology office is open for business with additional services like telehealth and curbside to serve you. Watch the video below to hear from our staff and learn more.

Patients of Hudson Valley Audiology,

There is no higher priority for Hudson Valley Audiology than the health and well-being of our patients and employees. If you are having issues with your hearing aids or have questions about your hearing, we will do our best to help you in the safest way possible whether that’s via remote care or through our drop-off or curbside service. We have created new services and modified our protocols to ensure everyone’s safety during this time:

Drop Off Service

One of the new service options is our “Drop-off” service. Outside of our office, you will find a container that you can drop off your hearing devices for cleaning, troubleshooting and repair. We simply ask that you leave us a voice message, email us at [email protected], or send a message on our website (HudsonAudiology.com) and tell us that you will be dropping off your devices. Then, simply leave the devices in a sealed bag or envelope with your first initial and last name and we will notify you once they are repaired or cleaned and ready for pickup. We will then place the devices in a sealed ziplock bag with your first initial and last name in the container outside our office for you to pick up.

Telehealth Sessions

In addition, if you would like to have a face-to-face session with your audiologist from your home, we can email you a simple link that you would be able to physically see us and we can talk about the problems you may be having. We can even give you a quick tutorial on whatever you may need.

Emergency Service

If you need to come into the office for an emergency such as a sudden decrease in natural hearing or a dead lyric device, you can leave an emergency message on our office phone and we will call you back as soon as possible to discuss how we can see you. We have implemented an in-office protocol set forth by the CDC and our professional audiology academies. We have an extremely clean office with only one patient in the office at one time. In addition, every patient will be required to wash his/her hands upon entering, will complete a screener questionnaire, and sign a statement of understanding. All used services and rooms are cleaned between each visit to keep our office clean and safe.

Enhanced Protocols

We have always had strong safety measures in our office including a strict infection control policy. We are closely following guidance on COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the New York state department to stay on top of all developments. We fully recognize that many of the population we serve are among the most vulnerable to diseases like COVID-19 and the flu.

In accordance with guidance from the CDC, we are also taking the following additional measures to further strengthen our protocols and safeguard our patients’ health:

  • If you are feeling under the weather or are experiencing a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, we would ask that you call and reschedule your appointment so as not to put other patients at risk. You could also see if a healthy loved one could bring your hearing aids to the office for a cleaning. We recommend reviewing guidelines from the CDC on preventing illness.
  • Dropping in can create a crowd in our waiting room. Please call our office ahead of time to schedule an appointment or a time to drop off your hearing aids for a cleaning. If an underlying condition or your age makes you more vulnerable to COVID-19, we urge you to request a healthy loved one bring your hearing aids to the office for a cleaning (with an appointment). We are not able to accommodate walk-in patients at this time.
  • We have instructed providers and staff to stay home if they are sick. We sincerely apologize if this means we need to reschedule your appointment!
  • If you need additional accommodations, please don’t hesitate to call our office to discuss.

We understand the importance of hearing at your best, especially at this time when communication is so critical. If there are any updates, we will post on our website and social media.

Please feel free to call with any questions — we are always happy to hear from our patients.
