Dr. Millicent Peterson received her undergraduate degree in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences from the University of Connecticut, where she also minored in Psychology. She continued her education at Montclair State University where she earned her Doctorate of Audiology. Prior clinical experiences include residency at Montefiore Medical Center where she provided a full range of audiologic services for patients of all ages. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
Her clinical interests include diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss in the adult and pediatric population, with a specialization in the evaluation and treatment of tinnitus. Dr. Peterson also works with implantable devices such as cochlear implants and osseointegrated devices. She practices an individualized approach to patient care which involves working closely with her patients and their loved ones as a team to improve quality of life and provide the best level of hearing care in a respectful and positive environment.
Dr. Peterson resides in Rockland County with her husband, children and chocolate lab. In her spare time, she enjoys spending family time at the park, doing pilates, and rooting for the New York Mets & New York Rangers.
