Keira Glasheen was born and raised in a small town near Albany, New York, where she first became interested in audiology after hearing a peer’s presentation about cochlear implants in high school.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Elmira College in 2017 and her Doctorate of Audiology degree from the University of Louisville, including completing her final year of studies as a resident here at Hudson Valley Audiology from June 2020 to May 2021.
During her time in Louisville, Dr. Glasheen worked on a research team developing an online program to help people who have failed a hearing screening to decide to see an audiologist.
Her audiologic interests include cochlear implants and treating hearing loss as a part of healthy aging. In her free time, Dr. Glasheen continues to work on research and enjoys playing piano and guitar.
