Sophia Patrikis is our newest audiologist at the Hudson Valley Audiology Center. In 2013, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in medical Spanish from James Madison University. She continued on to pursue her Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) through the Long Island Consortium, a partnership between St. John’s, Hofstra, and Adelphi Universities.
While earning her graduate degree, Dr. Patrikis completed rigorous coursework along with clinical rotations around the tri-state area including an audiology private practice, an ENT Center, and Blythedale Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, NY. She also had the opportunity to serve as the president of the Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) chapter for her class while participating in hearing outreach throughout the local community. Dr. Patrikis completed the final year of her audiology doctoral studies here at the Hudson Valley Audiology Center from June 2016 – May 2017.
Dr. Patrikis is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (F-AAA). Her audiological interests include amplification across the lifespan, vestibular diagnostics and rehabilitation, and cochlear implants. She is a native of Rockland County and currently resides in Nanuet. In her free time, she enjoys running outdoors and spending time with her family.
